Kees van der Graaf

In 2006 I discovered my purpose in life: finding a cure for the muscular disease FSHD. I took an early retirement with Unilever to dedicate the rest of my life to this purpose. The reason why is very simple: my oldest son Bart suffers from FSHD. In 1997 I created the FSHD Foundation. All my activities are directed at the foundations ‘support. This keeps me alert and anchored in real life. I give talks about leadership, alternative business models and personal goals and purposes. In this way I spread my belief in the importance of shared values.
